Paul Ryan is a caveman

scottfranklin, 2011-04-13

We need to put Paul Ryan back into the block if ice he was thawed out of. He says he wants to stop subsidizing non-competitive sources of energy and create a “free and open marketplace” for energy innovation. I completely agree. Lets start by taking ALL subsidies for energy away- including oil, natural gas, and nuclear. In this time of out-of-control budget deficits, we can hardly afford to subsidize ANY private business, let alone ones like Exxon, BP, and Chevron that have been recording record profits quarter after quarter. While we are at it, lets get them to pick up the tab for the three wars we are waging on their behalf.

It is time to move beyond caveman technologies. If our elected officials cannot put policy in place to bring 21st century approaches to how we produce energy, they should be relegated to the past where they belong.
