Sales & Customer Service Manager

Overview:

We are looking for an in-house Sales and Customer Service manager with a passion for accelerating the use of solar energy across the U.S. The successful candidate will be joining our current in-house sales and customer service team and will be responsible for the sales of Lumos Solar Products in the U.S. and providing customer service for existing and new Lumos clients. The candidate will promote Lumos solar products, drive customer acquisition and retention, and consistently meet sales goals. This position reports to the general manager and will work cross-functionally with marketing, purchasing, warehousing, and technical engineering services to ensure customers’ needs are met and exceeded.

Job Responsibilities:

This position is ideally suited for a “cold-calling guru” with an aptitude for learning quickly and is interested in renewable energy and the high growth solar market space. The ideal candidate will lead the acquisition of new customers via cold-calling and prospecting leads, while tracking sales, sales goals, and sales metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis via Lumos customer resource management (CRM) using NetSuite.  The right candidate will ensure all Lumos sales and customer inquiries are promptly and professionally answered, including inquiries regarding product orders, shipments, warranties, pricing, and various other important customer imperatives in-line with Lumos’ commitment to customer service and excellence.

Qualifications/Requirements:

•    Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, or engineering.
•    Cold-calling experience a must.  Success as a cold-calling guru highly desirable.  
•    Three years technical sales, product line management, and/or marketing experience preferable, but not required.  
•    Experience in photovoltaic, solar thermal or related renewable energy industries highly desirable.
•    Excellent cold-calling, written, verbal, negotiation presentation and public speaking skills
•    A self-starter, capable of meeting sales goals and successfully implementing plans without close supervision or direction.
•    Experience with CRM, such as NetSuite or Salesforce.com highly desirable
•    Strong technical understanding of Solar Electric and Solar Thermal systems will be a significant asset.
•    Must be able to clearly, concisely and effectively write correspondence and sales information.
•    Team player with ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
•    Excellent time management skills, ability to manage a large, diverse range of customers.
•    Proficient with the MS Office software suite, especially Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
•    Represent Lumos professionally, building mutually beneficial, long-term partnerships within the solar energy industry.
