The Solar Installation Process
How does the process work? Once you contact Lighthouse Solar for a free, custom quote for a solar installation, these steps will follow:
Step 1: Contact
During the initial contact phase, a Lighthouse Solar representative will speak with you at length about your energy goals and how we can help you achieve them using solar power. During this phone call, we will review the layout of your home using satellite technology so we can get a better idea of your roof structure and orientation. It's helpful if you obtain your previous year’s electrical usage from your utility provider.
Step 2: Consultation
From here, one of our Solar Sales Advisors will come to your home to provide you a free consultation. At this meeting, we will present our proposal designed to fit your individual goals. If this meets your needs for solar power generation and you choose Lighthouse Solar as your installer, one of our engineers will come out to your home for a full Design Audit so they can generate a custom design for your home.
Step 3: Design Audit
In the Design Audit phase, we are able to determine roof pitch, condition, orientation, and exact size so we can provide you with an optimal design to achieve the maximum power output possible. By analyzing the roof size and pitch, we are better able to determine exactly how much solar we can fit on your roof as well as if there are any obstacles up there that need to be avoided for shading purposes.
Step 4: Installation
Once the system design is finalized, our professional installation crew will come to your home to put our drawings into place. Our crews are aware that your home is not a construction zone, and will be sensitive to your needs as a homeowner. We keep our areas neat and tidy during the entire solar installation process and strive to be as small of a disturbance as possible to your daily schedule.
Step 5: System Start Up
Once the installation is complete, we will schedule your System Start-up Day. Your Solar Advisor will come out to your home and walk you through each part of your new solar electric system so you can get a better understanding of how it works. They will also deliver your Operations Manual and answer any additional questions you may have.
